Ecole Elizabeth Sutherland School

Christmas Store is Accepting Donations

Dear Families,

Christmas Store and Holiday Help

Elizabeth Sutherland School will be having our eighth annual Christmas Store from December 13th-14th (Thursday and Friday).  Students are invited to do a little holiday shopping for their families, while at the same time raise money to support others during this time of year.  Proceeds will go to help support families in our community.  Items at the store will be sold for a $1.00 or less.  After each class has visited the store, interested students may return to purchase more gifts on Monday December 17th in morning, if there are still items available.  The store will be closed on Monday December 17th at 1:00.

In preparation for this event we invite families to donate any new or gently used items that could become a gift for someone else.  This is a great time to ‘clean house’.  These items may include, but are definitely not limited to, candles, jewellery, ties, picture frames, books, small décor items, dishes, etc.  The list is endless!

Also, because these items will be wrapped or bagged, we are also asking for donations of wrapping paper, gift bags, tape, and gift tags.  We will be accepting items from now until the day the store opens, Thursday December 13th.  Please send all donations to Ms Amy in the Counselling office.

If you are interested in helping with the set up, selling, or wrapping, please send back the slip below, or send an email to amy.holland@hrce.ca.

Food Collection

Also, the month of December, we will be collecting food for families in our community.  The food can be placed under The Giving Tree in the front entrance.  We will be collecting these items until Friday, December 14th.

Thank you so much for all the support you have given to our families throughout the past years.  It is truly appreciated.

Warmly,

Amy Holland

School Counsellor
